澳大利亚岛屿。位于西澳大利亚州西北海岸外20公里的印度洋上。为蒙特贝洛群岛中最大岛。多陡峻砂质山岗，最高点海拔82米。四周为珊瑚礁。盛产鸟类和海龟，为采珠及捕鲸船停泊点。

The Hare Wallaby doesn't beg for food.
Instead its mission is to get to the cricket ground
and munch on the grass.
Much tastier than the tough desert grasses
outside the compound.
It's also much safer.
Daytime sees the huge Parenti cruising for food.
At 6 feet long the Parenti is Australiaˇs[Australia's] largest lizard.
Although more than capable tackling wallabies
it will usually be content with lizards and small animals.
But this Fat Tailed Antechinu
is no ordinary small mammal.
Something this lizard wishes it had known sooner.
Antechinuses are carnivores
and this female needs to eat as much as she can.
She has a brood of hungry youngsters to look after.
Barrow Island is home to creatures
that were] once common on the Australian mainland
but are now threatened or already extinct.
The reason for this is the competition of animals
that were introduced from other parts of the world.
Here are the top five illegal immigrants.
Rats arrived on ships and outcompete small marsupials.
Cane toads came from the West Indies
and reek havoc on native wildlife.
Camels roam the outback.
Foxes find easy pickings.
But the worst of all are rabbits
they eat everyone out of house and home.
